Japan, South Korea and China by sea: fourteen nights from Tokyo
Fourteen nights aboard Holland America's Westerdam, from Tokyo on Sunday, November 8 to Hong Kong on Sunday, November 22, 2026.
The ship calls at Shimizu below Mount Fuji, Osaka, Kochi and Hiroshima, sails the Kanmon Strait, and spends a Shabbat in port at Fukuoka. Then come Busan and Jeju Island in South Korea, two days in Shanghai, and Hong Kong at the end. Meals are cooked for the group by an executive kosher chef and served in a dining area of our own, with packed lunches for the days ashore. The second Shabbat is at sea on the way to Hong Kong.

A tour and a cruise, January 13 to February 2, 2027: four days in Auckland and the North Island first, then aboard Holland America's Noordam from Auckland on January 17 to Sydney on January 31, and two days in Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
The ship calls at Tauranga for Rotorua, Napier, Wellington, the Marlborough Sounds and Christchurch, cruises Fiordland, then crosses to Hobart in Tasmania and Melbourne. Two Baltic cruises: the capitals and Scandinavia in June, the heritage cruise in August
Twelve nights aboard Holland America's Statendam, from Dover on Friday, June 25 to Oslo on Wednesday, July 7, 2027; or seven nights aboard the Norwegian Jewel, from Helsinki on Monday, August 16 to Berlin on Monday, August 23.
The ship calls at Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Aarhus, then Warnemünde for a long day in Berlin, Tallinn until late in the evening, Helsinki, Stockholm and the walled town of Visby on Gotland, with three days at sea. Meals are cooked for the group by an executive kosher chef and served in a dining area of our own, with lunch every day on board or packed for the shore.

The August cruise has a port every day: Tallinn, Stockholm, Riga, Klaipėda, Gdańsk, Rønne on Bornholm, ending at Warnemünde for Berlin. Shabbat falls in port at Gdańsk.

Norway's fjords · July to September 2027
The Norwegian fjords: three seven-night sailings from Rotterdam
Seven nights aboard Holland America's Rotterdam each time: from Rotterdam and back on Sunday, July 4 to Sunday, July 11, 2027, or Sunday, July 25 to Sunday, August 1; or from Rotterdam to Amsterdam, Sunday, August 29 to Sunday, September 5.
The ship cruises the Hardangerfjord and calls at Eidfjord, then spends a full day at Olden, below the Briksdal Glacier, and cruises the Nordfjord before Ålesund and Bergen. Shabbat is at sea on the way home. Meals are cooked for the group by an executive kosher chef and served in a dining area of our own, with lunch every day on board or packed for the shore.

The late-July sailing also sails the Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord, then spends a morning on Storfjorden and the afternoon and evening in Hellesylt, a village of waterfalls, before Ålesund and Bergen. Shabbat is again at sea on the way home.

Antarctica: ten nights on a small expedition ship
Ten nights on the M/V Sea Spirit from Ushuaia, at the southern tip of Argentina, across the Drake Passage to the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula, and back.
Most days in Antarctica there is a guided landing or a Zodiac cruise among the glaciers, the penguin colonies and the whales, and the ship's polar experts lecture on the days at sea. The kitchen on board is used only for the group, under a head mashgiach who sails with us, and the price includes a Friday and Shabbat at a hotel in Buenos Aires and the flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia. The ship calls at Koblenz for the Moselle Valley and Cochem, sails the Rhine Gorge past the Lorelei to Rüdesheim, then Wiesbaden and Mainz, Heidelberg and Speyer, where Shabbat is kept in port, and Worms, for Rashi's synagogue and the old Jewish cemetery. The ship calls at Tenerife and Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, then Agadir and Casablanca on the Moroccan coast, and Seville and Motril in Spain. Seven nights aboard the Norwegian Gem, from Rome to Venice, with a port every day and no day at sea.
The ship calls at Salerno on the Amalfi Coast and at Catania in Sicily, crosses to Corfu in Greece, then sails up the Adriatic to Kotor in Montenegro, Split in Croatia and Koper in Slovenia, where Shabbat is kept in port, and ends at Ravenna, the port for Venice. Kosher cruises from Israel
None of the current sailings leaves from Haifa or Ashdod. Guests from Israel fly to the port where the ship sails, join the group there, and fly home from where the voyage ends.

A kosher kitchen at sea
Every meal on every cruise is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin. How it reaches the table depends on the ship, and each cruise's page says exactly how.
On the Westerdam, a Holland America ship with its own guests on board (the November cruise to Japan and the February cruise from Hong Kong), our group eats apart from them: meals freshly prepared for the group alone by an executive kosher chef, under mashgichim responsible for the kosher kitchen, and served in a dining area that is ours. Everything is Chalav Yisrael, Pat Yisrael and Bishul Yisrael, and packed lunches go ashore with you. On the Sea Spirit in Antarctica the kitchen itself is ours, used only for the group, with a head mashgiach who sails for the whole voyage. Tell us about any allergy or dietary need when you inquire.

Not included on any cruise: your flights to the ship and home, and travel insurance. On the Japan cruise the shore excursions are the cruise line's and are booked separately; in Antarctica every scheduled landing and Zodiac excursion is included.

A cruise is the easy way to see a great deal: you unpack once, and the ship moves on while you sleep. The days ashore are as active as you make them, and the days at sea are for rest, the lectures and time together.

Price and booking
What a kosher cruise costs, and how booking works
Cruise prices are per person, sharing a double cabin, in US dollars. The November cruise to Japan, South Korea and China runs from $7,200 for an inside stateroom to $10,900 for a Signature Suite, with taxes and port charges included. The Australia and New Zealand tour and cruise in January is from $8,900. The February cruise to Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan runs from $7,200 for an inside stateroom. The price of the next Antarctica sailing is to be announced.
The price covers the nights on board, every kosher meal and our own program. A reservation form and a deposit of $1,000 per person confirm your cabin, and the balance is due 120 days before sailing, so a booking for the November cruise is paid in full. The cancellation terms are on each cruise's page, and we strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, medical care and luggage. Nothing is paid on this website.

Our guests all share a commitment to Shabbat and kosher observance, but there are no specific religious requirements to join. We won't ask about your personal religious practices. For anything before you sail, the simplest route is an email or a call to the line for your region; every missed call and message is returned.

Which cruise lines have kosher food?
On our cruises the kosher food is ours, not the cruise line's. On Holland America's Westerdam, our group's meals are freshly prepared by an executive kosher chef under mashgichim and served in a dining area of our own: Kosher Cruise to Japan, South Korea and China, November 2026. On the Sea Spirit in Antarctica the kitchen is used only for the group: The All-Kosher Antarctica Expedition Cruise.
Are there any kosher cruise ships available?
Our Antarctica cruise comes closest: on the Sea Spirit, a small expedition ship, the kosher kitchen is used only for our group, under a head mashgiach who sails for the whole voyage. Whether every passenger on that sailing is in our group is being confirmed. On our other cruises the ship is a large liner, and our group has its own kosher kitchen team and its own dining area on board.

Is every meal kosher on board?
Yes. Every meal for the group is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin, three meals a day, and on the days in port a packed lunch goes ashore with you. Each cruise's page says who supervises it. A planning guide: kosher cruising tips.
How is Shabbat kept on a cruise?
With the group, on board. A Sefer Torah sails with us and there are tefillot every day. More on Shabbat on a Jewish cruise. On the Japan cruise there are two Shabbatot, one in port at Fukuoka and one at sea; the Antarctica cruise has a Shabbat on board and a Friday and Shabbat in Buenos Aires.
Can I join a cruise from Israel?
Yes. You fly to the port where the ship sails and join the group there; none of the current sailings leaves from an Israeli port. Call the Israel line, +972 2 992 9801.
Do you run a kosher Mediterranean cruise, or kosher cruises to Alaska?
Yes to the Mediterranean: four sailings of seven nights in 2027, Rome to Barcelona on May 23 and June 20 and Barcelona to Rome on July 25 and August 22, by way of Marseille, Tuscany, Sicily and the Amalfi Coast, with Ibiza on the first two and Nice and Monaco on the last two: Kosher Mediterranean Cruise: Four Sailings in 2027. Are flights and shore excursions included?
Flights are not: you book your own to the ship and home. On the Japan cruise the shore excursions are offered by the cruise line and booked separately; in Antarctica the landings and Zodiac excursions are in the price, and so are the flights between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend insurance covering cancellation, medical care and luggage, bought as soon as you book so the cover is complete.
