Our passengers enjoyed sunshine-filled days this winter as they sailed trough the tropics on a unique itinerary that took them to both celebrated and far-flung ports of call on board the MSC Lirica's 11-night round trip theme cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA where they discovered new and enchanting destinations.
Sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Mexico (2nd embarkation option) - Costa Rica - Panama Canal - Columbia - Jamaica - back to Florida we visited a dazzling array of cultural and historical ports overflowing with the beauties of nature, pristine beaches, crystal clear surf, coral reefs, mountain peaks, waterfalls, rain forests and amazing nature & wild life.
On this trip we discovered Costa Rica's Puerto Limon, a land of perpetual springtime-iridescent blue butterflies, scarlet macaws and palm promenades, we then explored Costa Rica's lush tropics followed by the unique experience of sailing through the first three locks of the Panama Canal to Gatun Lake whereafter we navigating on to the historic fortresses of Cartagena, Colombia, the oldest city in the New World. Experiences included relaxation on the sparkling beaches and turquoise waters of the Caribbean islands and absolute enchantment and wonder at the discovery of rustic villages, ancient ruins and glamorous cities.
On this exquisite cruise our special program provided passengers with a special environment, shiurim, intriguing lectures, minyanim, unique entertainment and group functions while our world class chefs prepared fresh sumptuous Glatt kosher cuisine!
In addition to the exciting activities offered by the ship on board this cruise, it was also our pleasure to bring aboard this cruise for our group's entertainment and benefit, world leading Chazzanim, Ben Zion Miller, Moshe Schulhof and Benjamin Warschawski accompanied by master musician, Cantor Danny Gildar who together entertained our group with music ranging from Chazzanut to Italian Opera as well as contemporary Chassidik and Israeli songs. We were privileged to enjoy 4 live concerts, Melavah Malkas, sing alongs, Shabbat davening and seudot filled with the most wonderful ruach.
All this, of course, while basking in the comfort and style of the beautiful MSC Lirica, launched in the spring of 2003 - the perfect setting for a truly relaxing break and unique vacation.
