Jewish Entertainment
In addition to the wonderful ship entertainment, our group will also have the opportunity aboard this cruise to be entertained by the special program of world renowned baritone Colin Schachat and sons.
Colin regularly performs with two of his sons Micha and Gabi. Micha is a star of the Kinderlach Group and has performed all over the world. Gabi is a versatile musician who sings and accompanies his father and brother on the piano. He has performed as the soloist in Israel and abroad.

Colin Schachat was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1962. He has an extensive classical and liturgical repertoire.
He made his debut with the world renowned Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in February 2006 and is due to perform with them later this year again.
Colin has performed as baritone soloist with the following orchestras and choirs:

- Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (IBA)
- Ra'anana Symphonette Orchestra
- National Symphony Orchestra of South Africa
- Johannesburg Symphony Choir
- Johannesburg Jewish Male Choir

- Israel Symphony Orchestra – Rishon Leziyon

- Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
He has recorded and released various CD's containing a wide variety of repertoire including classical and liturgical music with various symphony orchestras and ensembles. In addition to his operatic repertoire, he has also performed major Oratorio roles, including that of the lead soloist in Bloch's Sacred Service and Mendelssohn's Elijah which he is due to perform again with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra on April 24th 2008. Colin regularly performs in Israel, Canada, the USA, South Africa and Eastern Europe. He has also appeared numerous times on radio and television.
Colin performed as featured soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at a banquet held at Buckingham Palace in October 2006 .
He is presently involved in preparations for a major recording with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
His wide baritone vocal range has enabled him to develop a versatile performance repertoire which also includes Yiddish , Israeli and Broadway material.
He is married to Nicky, a Speech Therapist, and has four sons.
