On this unique itinerary you will discover Cadiz, the ancient city that became the bastion of Spain's anti-monarchist, liberal movement in the19th century. The newer part of this seaside town includes La Santa Cueva, home to several paintings by Goya, and stately mansions such as the Casa del Almirante and Casa de las Cadenas. The old city of Moorish appearance is lined with intriguing narrow cobbled streets opening onto small squares and houses lovely parks with sweeping views of the bay. Cadiz is also a popular departure point for land trips to Seville, one of the largest historical centres in Europe and famously referred to as the 'joyous town' for the sparkle and vitality of its residents.
From Cherbourg passengers will tour Mont St. Michel. Then, visit MÁLAGA, birthplace of Picasso and home to the new Picasso Museum , housing an important collection of works by Málaga's most famous son. Overlooked by formidable Moorish citadels of the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro, Malaga is also an ideal base from where to see the splendid caves of Nerja and Vigo, once the site of great pilgrimages.
