5 TIPS TO LOOK FOR IN A PASSOVER PROGRAM
The old adage “you get what you pay for” applies most
pertinently to Passover programs. With so many to choose from,
we present 10 tips to help make your decision simpler

Find out how many years the operator has been
organizing Pesach programs and the professional backgrounds
of the operators.
The real professional operators ensure there are no
glitches or excuses because they have a wealth of experience.
It is their duty to provide the guest with an inspiring and
memorable Chag experience.
Check if they are in it for a “quick buck” or are
they are committed to serve the long term needs of the
Passover traveling public year after year. There are a lot of
rookies out there and experience counts!
Ask for a list of references and testimonials from
previous clients especially those with a similar background
and demographic to yours.
Ask to see the feedback forms their clients fill out
after each year's program. Ask to see a copy of last year's
program and see if it suits your family. Are you getting a
personal service and package when making the booking or are
you dealing with a call centre?
2. HOST EXPERIENCE
Ask how many hotels the operators are managing in
the one year. Operators tend to spread themselves very
thinly and excellent service is then difficult to maintain.
Are the hosts on site during the entire program? Many
operators stay at one of their other programs during
Passover and leave the running to the hotel management, which may not
be up to your standard of service or Kashrut.
3. HOTEL MANAGEMENT:
Check in particular, if the Hotel you are looking
at has worked with Passover operators in the past or it is
their first experience running a Passover program. The set up
and logistics required from a Hotel for Passover are vastly
different than operating all year around.
From the Hotel’s perspective they land a big group
booking but may have little idea how to accommodate the many
Passover requirements and it may simply be over their heads.
